New Ikon Basix series shock absorbers offer the proven quality and engineering of Ikon products, but in a lower priced package. 

IkonBasix shocks feature chrome plated steel bodies, fixed rate damping, 3position adjustable pre-load and black powder coated progressiverate springs. These shocks offer a long service life, yet are fully rebuildable, and are sold as a pair. The preload adjustments allow the rider to select from light for solo riding, medium for two up comfort and/or more spririted riding, and heavy for two up and/or heavy loads. Ikon Basix shocks feature fade resistant fixed rate damping with the standard issue spring suitable for solo riders in a weight range of 150 to 210 pounds on the lowest spring preload setting, while the highest spring preload setting is sufficient to maintain ride heights for occasional use while riding two up. These shocks feature progressive rate springs that provide a wider load range than fixed rate springs, giving you a shock absorber with a wider range of capabilities.
